Provide on-site and remote technical support, project co-ordination, training and documentation.  Implemented improvements:

  • Creation of central incident logging system to ensure all support related matters were adequately captured.
  • Created documentation for share-point site, both for user and technical staff
  • Worked with finance staff to clarify processes for common MYOB/business financial functions.   Followed by documenting processes to enable temporary support staff to assist team.

South East QLD Healthy Waterways (SEQ Healthy Waterways)

Provide on-site and remote technical support, project co-ordination, training and documentation and co-ordinate the Information Technology systems migration from one company to another.  Implemented improvements:

  • Co-ordinate purchase, installation, configuration and testing of new technology.
  • Create user instruction guides for ‘go-live’, to ensure minimal interruptions to business operations and technical support staff.
  • Train users on use of new technology.
  • Co-ordinate removal of outdated technology.

The Cooperative Research Centre for Sugar Industry Innovation through Biotechnology  (CRC SIIB) at The University of Queensland

Provide business consultancy and IT support services.  Implemented improvements:

  • Create comprehensive manual of business unit Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Provide recommendations and advice on technology purchases.
  • Liaise with central IT to facilitate the information and work flow between the Business unit, local IT and the greater network.
  • Strengthened individual understandings of technology and application concepts by offering desk side support to departmental members.
